When we share the Gospel, we can do it with the confidence that God wants to see people get saved! He doesn't want to see us fail! Instead, as you trust God and walk obediently with Him, He’ll give you power, love, and a sound mind to accomplish all He has for you to accomplish. So, drive away the fear in front of you. In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s all too easy to forget to stay connected with God through prayer. But, as Pastor Eddie teaches today, it’s one of the most important things you should do every day. The apostle Paul was a man of constant prayer. He was closely connected to the Lord and was sustained through life because He prayed. Don’t ever neglect time alone with God! It’s so vital to your life, your faith, and your future!

The apostle Paul experienced so much suffering, pain, rejection, and imprisonment – all in the name of Christ. It was all so difficult. Yet Paul knew, without a doubt, that God was with him in every storm, every prison, and every beating. He felt God’s peace and was sustained by God’s mercy and grace. Pastor Eddie will encourage you today to, like Paul, seek God in prayer wherever you find yourself. He’s with you through it all and will sustain you too.

As a believer, Christ says, you will face persecution. New Testament scripture bears witness to this truth as apostle after apostle is martyred for their faith. Pastor Eddie asks you today to examine your faith and think about what you’ll say when you’re suffering in this world for your faith. Will you hold fast to the Lord to the end? Remember when you stay faithful to God, He’ll strengthen and empower you throughout it all so you can hold up and hold onto Him.

As a believer and parent, your single most important job in life is to bring your child up to know and love Jesus. It’s not a job to be handed off to others. Your children must see you valuing God’s word, prioritizing church and fellowship, and walking in obedience to God. Today, Pastor Eddie will explain how important Timothy’s upbringing was for his faith. His mother and grandmother gave him the solid foundation of the gospel. And his life was built on that!

It was a dark, rat-infested, frigid, and terrible place. Yet, Paul didn’t worry or fear, nor did he wail and complain. Instead, as Paul was imprisoned for the last time in his life, he used his last moments to encourage, teach, and love Timothy. As Pastor Eddie will teach you today, even the worst prison couldn’t erase Paul’s joy and purpose. It simply increased his desire to get the gospel truth out into the world. He suffered and eventually died for the sake of the gospel, but he continued to rejoice in all God had called him to.

Does it ever feel like you let everyone down? Sometimes it feels like you just can’t do anything right by anyone else. But today, Pastor Eddie reminds us that God’s love, is perfectly unconditional, meaning there’s nothing you can do to make Him love you less or more. It doesn’t matter how many things you screw up, or how many times you let Him down, He will always be there to forgive and forget and continue walking with you

In our day and age – particularly with social media – it’s so easy to focus on what everyone else is doing, as opposed to yourself. We feel like we’re missing out when we just watch the world go about their business. But Pastor Eddie reminds us today, that we shouldn’t be looking at the world, or even ourselves…we should be looking to Christ! It’s far too easy to let life pass you by, but – as believers – we should be waiting in anticipation for the Lord’s return.
