When you live in a culture where the term “fake news” has become commonplace, it's not always easy to discern what is true and what's not. It doesn't take much exploration to see that all creation is precisely orchestrated, put together, with purpose and order. Pastor Eddie will share today from 1st Timothy, that God's intent for an order is ESSENTIAL in Church leadership. To have everything run smoothly, as intended by God, certain qualities need to be met for each different role within the Body of Christ, and today we're looking at the Qualifications of Deacons!

Being a pastor isn’t just a job you do while at work. It involves so much more than what, Pastor Eddie teaches today. God calls men into this role to lead people to Him. And this requires men to live, in every area of their lives, in such a way that no one can doubt he loves and serves God. In the community, he’s to represent Jesus well. In his family, he’s to love and serve like Jesus. In the church, he’s to set an example of godly living. It’s a high and important call!

Sometimes people go into ministry because it sounds like a good job. Or for notoriety and respect. Yet, as Pastor Eddie teaches today, the role of the pastor is one that should be a distinct and definite call from God. It’s not an easy job. It requires sacrifice and love and willingness to serve others. But it’s an important calling and a deep need in the world. Make sure God is calling you to it! Because if He is calling you, He will bless you in it!

In the church through the generations, different denominations have created titles and qualifications for their leadership that simply isn’t biblical. Today, Pastor Eddie will explain the biblical titles and requirements for church leadership. It’s important to go back to these biblical principles instead of the created, man-made roles and responsibilities. The Bible is the authority and what church leadership should be based on.

Our culture today bristles at the biblical concept that a man is to be the head of the house and the head of the church. It’s so controversial. Yet, it’s clearly written in the word that men are to lead in the church and lead their family like Christ. And women are to submit to this. Today, Pastor Eddie discusses God’s directives for order in the church and in the family. And though it’s difficult in our day and age to accept, it’s important to trust God’s design.

In our world today, outward physical beauty is very highly prized and sought after. Expensive and beautiful clothes and cosmetics. Dangerous procedures. Lavish jewels are all tried in an effort to get attention, love, and praise. Yet, as Pastor Eddie will explain today, what truly makes a woman beautiful is her good, gentle and faithful soul. Don’t focus only on your outward appearance. Strive for a good heart and a faithful walk with the Lord.
