The movie industry is in a gloomy period.  Paramount lost almost half a billion dollars last year.  Sony wrote off almost a billion dollars.  According to the Hollywood Reporter 60 percent of the general public could not name a movie up for best picture.  Netflix and HBO streaming are reasons for the drop off of the industry.
