The guitarist Russell Javors -zoomed in from his home in Florida to talk all about his time with Billy Joel, writing and recording with Karen Carpenter, the producer Phil Ramone and much much more!  Russell's current project is 'The Lords of 52nd Street', where is 1/3 of the classic combination of himself, Liberty DeVitto (drums) and Richie Cannata (saxophone and flute).  They, along with the late great Doug Stegmeyer, were the backbone of Billy Joel's band in his heyday - from the mid 1970s to the late 1980s.  The Lords of 52nd street is a celebration of that music with 3 of the guys who there.  Great chat, do i up!
