In this MNL meeting, Pastor Brian interviews a Chi Alpha missionary couple, Matt and Hannah Powell. They have served at their alma mater Sam Houston State for the past decade and now plan to go serve the Arab world in North Africa as full-time missionaries there. In tonight's interview, they go into how the Lord called both of them through their XA college experience into full-time ministry and explain their heart for missions, especially for those in the Muslim world. They explain the importance of world missions, why God has called us to reach out to the lost souls, and how we can start our world missions right here on our college campuses. They take a deep dive into Scripture for this message, and in addition, they speak on the Chi Alpha World Missions Summit that is happening next January! Tonight we hear from our favorite duo of Brian Adams and Brian Kurian (otherwise known as Brian^2) as they dive deep into the topic of shame. They break down on what shame truly is, how it affects our lives, and the importance of being unashamed of God's work in our lives. Both draw from their own personal experiences with shame and bring wisdom from those times and from the Bible to show us how to overcome this silent, but crucial obstacle in our lives that we must overcome. Tonight at MNL we discuss missions as we welcome missionary Gerritt Kenyon. Gerritt discusses his journey to become a missionary with Andrew, talking about the experiences that impacted him throughout his life and also the testimonies of how God has used him and his wife in the country of Panama. After the discussion, Gerritt also answers questions from the audience of their questions about missions and his experience.
