Thursday March 12, 2020 (Ask the Theologian) from Ask The Theologian by Dr. Randy White. Released: 2020. Track 1,077. Genre: Speech.
* Did you see Joel Osteen's Houston mega church cancels public service over coronavirus?
* Is the pre-tribulation rapture found before the 19th century?
* I've been hearing people say that they believe that everything going on right now is the beginning of the tribulation. I've also heard the other side that it is not that there has to be more before the tribulation begins. I'm curious to know your take on it and if you think the world crisis lines up with biblical prophecies?
* In 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Andy Wood’s says that the falling away is a departure, meaning the rapture or the snatching away. Do you hold the same view or interpretation?
* In the age of grace what is the role of the Holy Spirit?
* What are your thoughts on the Great Pyramid of Giza, any biblical significance, who built it, and what was its purpose?
* Your Gospel of John series you said that Mary the mother of Jesus is never mentioned by name in the Gospel of John she's only referred to as the mother of Jesus or his mother. Could it be that John did this because Jesus made Mary the mother of John at his crucifixion and John didn't want to refer to his mother by her name?
* "Some theologians” hold that the original language translated the world could actually be translated as the land. Thus, some passages regarding events of the Day of the Lord could be less than worldwide cataclysms, is there anything to this?
* Is it safe to say that Paul is only talking to Jews in 1 Cor 6:9 because he refers to the Kingdom of God?
* I have a son that loves rare steak, but doesn't the New Testament read that we too are to avoid consuming animal blood and to drain meats. He says that's Old Testament, but I say it still applies.
* Where do we draw the line between mysticism and not denying the supernatural? For example, is it mystical when a pastor said the Lord spoke to me in study and said to preach this?
* Is the Spirit, in the age of grace, downplayed in order that the focus of believers is on the Father and Son?
* What's your thought about Jesus, from the cross, addressed his mother as “woman”; John 19:26? Some say this is a term of compassion, but I wonder if it goes much deeper.
* If you have a two-hour drive somewhere, what podcasts do you listen to?
