Dr. Randy White begins a new series that explores the Biblical revelation of the Hebrew book of Esther. This fabulous book is also mysterious in many ways. The series will come from the perspective that there is both a surface-level and a ‘beneath the surface‚ message in the book of Esther. In the book of Esther a Jewish maiden hides her Jewish identity and becomes Queen. In her position of power she is able to save the Jewish people from being ‘wiped off the map.‚ This historical account is included in the Bible to give us a picture of God’s care for the Jewish people even when they are out-of-fellowship with Him. During these times God is not actively revealing Himself through the Jewish nation but His invisible hand of providence is very much at work.
