Temperate: Neither very hot nor very cold.
Raft (otters): A group of otters floating together.
Invertebrates: Any animal without a backbone.
Prey: An animal hunted by another for food.
Desperate: Needing or wanting something a lot.
Proud: Feeling happiness and satisfaction because you or people connected with you have done or got something good
Weaning: to cause a baby to stop eating only its mother’s milk.
Forage: to go from place to place looking for something to eat or use.
Envious: wishing you had what another has.
Giant kelp: A very large algal plant that grows in the ocean and can reach between 30 and 55 meters in height.
Frustrated: Feeling angry or not confident because you can’t achieve what you want.
Keystone species: One of the most important species to an ecosystem. A species that can change the entire ecosystem it lives in.
Excitedly: In a very happy way.
Disgruntled: Unhappy and disappointed about something
Nervously: In a worried manner.
Furious: Very, very angry.
