Jake, Seth and Conor come together from their disparate corners of the world for good times and great company, much like the poor souls of Sinners, Ryan Coogler's 2025 Horror Masterpiece (?)! Starring Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Michael B. Jordan (again), Delroy Lindo and Miles Caton and directed, written and produced by the incredible Ryan Coogler. I normally don't do this, but also have to call out composer Ludwig Göransson, for an incredible soundtrack, score and musical experience.

Hey Party People - Jake, Conor and Seth (kind of) come together today to share some Halloween recommendations for this Shocktober.

*Please note we had some technical difficulties and so most of Seth's conversation was lost. So if you came here for thoughtful analysis, sadly it's lacking in this one without our beloved Sethula. FYI, Seth picked The Evil Dead II as his Halloween Recommendation.

Hello Friends,

Jake warmly welcomes you to his inaugural State of The DCUnion, under James Gunn's leadership. We will be discussing Superman's Box Office Performance, James Gunn's Shifting Projects and Priorities and I will share what I believe the underlying thread is tying everything together.

Spoiler Alert: I think the Gentleman doth protest too much. I believe Superman, was more like SuperMeh at the box office.

The boys come together for a roundtable discussion about Stanley Kubrick's final film, Eyes Wide Shut. The film that reportedly ended Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's marriage and if you believe the conspiracies (we don't), also got Kubrick killed (he died of a heart attack). Like all things Kubrick there are layers upon layers to peel back here, so please join us as we discuss the 1999 Erotic Drama, Eyes Wide Shut, starring Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, and Sydney Pollack.

Jake, Conor and Seth join forces for a roundtable to discuss our personal Summer "Winners" from the competitive box office.

*Please note we had some technical difficulties and so most of Seth's conversation was lost. So if you came here for thoughtful analysis, sadly it's lacking in this one without our beloved Sethula. FYI, Seth picked F1 as his Summer movie too!

Hey Friends - Jake here flying solo to deliver you a very brief news session.

We will discuss the many moves Paramount is making with Ellison leading the way. We will also quickly touch on some MCU and DCU news (saving the good stuff for upcoming State of the Unions) and a quick dip into Sports Media with a Ryan Clark story.

Jake, Conor and Seth join forces to discuss some recent news topics like Star Wars: Starfighter castings and rumors casting troubles, some Harry Potter drama and our personal predictions for our beloved football teams (and my Jets).

*Please note we had some technical difficulties and so most of Seth's conversation was lost. So if you came here for thoughtful analysis, sadly it's lacking in this one without our beloved Sethula.

We are wrapping up the August Movie Minisode Miniseries today with Cronos, Guillermo Del Toro's first film!

More details below, courtesy of Wikipedia.

Cronos is a 1992 Mexican independent horror drama film written and directed by Guillermo del Toro and starring Federico Luppi and Ron Perlman. Cronos is del Toro's first feature film, and the first of several films on which he worked with Luppi and Perlman.

Critical reviews were overwhelmingly positive, praising the inventive direction and creative storytelling, and over time Cronos has been regarded as a classic. The film was selected as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 66th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.
