"Outsider Musics in My Life” is a compilation of my personal favorites from the past releases in 2011 under the names of milch of source, milky-chu, Ryoma Maeda, and others.

In the early 2000s, I went to Tower Records, HMV, and other CD/Record stores to listen to breakcore, ska, reggae, rock, electronica, etc., and was influenced by the music I listened to on the listening machines.

Most of the songs were created using only hardware such as synths, samplers, drum machines, hard disk recorders, etc., without using DAW.

Songs created in Tondabayashi, Osaka, and in a one-room apartment in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, while struggling alone.

“Beat Hallucination (1991 Algorithm version)” will be released on April 19, 2025.

This song is a deep respect and homage to the legendary “GUITARHYTHM” album by Torayasu Hotei, which had a strong impact on Ryoma Maeda as a boy and inspired his passion for music.

The production of the song was conducted at the online music school “Poppo” of Mr. Takeji Fujii, who was greatly involved in the early production of “GUITARHYTHM,” with advice from Mr. Fujii himself on arrangement, sequence programming, etc.

The song was also produced with the help of VOC. VOCALOID vocal sounds, mastering sound makeup, and lyric creation were produced with flexible use of AI generation technology.

Beat Hallucination (1991 Algorithm version)” expresses the energy and sparkle of youth and the sense of hope of the late 80‘s and early 90’s with Ryoma Maeda's unique sound approach.

As the title “1991 Algorithm version” suggests, Ryoma Maeda has created a nostalgic yet new soundscape by blending the digital sounds and algorithms of the time with modern beats.
