Radiohead live: previewed and reviewed!

IT'S THE HOUR AND A HALF SPECIAL BABY! The one we've all been waiting for. Well. We did it and we were there. We previewed it for you. We reviewed it for you. Radiohead at the 02 in 2025. This is really happening, happening. We talk you through all the things, all of them. The history, the back stories and all assorted lore drops galore.

Radiohead are playing their first live shows in 7 years this year. And as they are our favourite band, we had to be there. And as we are your favourite podcast, we had to talk about it for you. Let’s link you up to some stuff.

Check out Reddit for all Radiohead related news because that is how fan communities work in the modern age whether you like it or find it a bit annoying to navigate: https://www.reddit.com/r/radiohead/

The one Radiohead interview the boys did for this tour: https://www.thetimes.com/culture/music/article/radiohead-tour-2025-interview-israel-fn0bmdzl8

Steven Hyden (an awesome rock and roll journalist I like the work of and who has written a whole book about Radiohead) wrote this article. The “article I needed” as Christopher put it: https://stevenhyden.substack.com/p/following-radioheads-weird-era-tour

Steven Hyden also talked about it all on his podcast: https://uproxx.com/indie/indiecast-radiohead-tour/

The Oasis article that was referenced: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/oasis-reunion-tour-essay-positive-masculinity-1235460198/

This is Colin Greenwood talking to Adam Buxton on the Adam Buxton podcast. Adam is on 256 episodes you know. Damn, fair play. Colin was ostensibly promoting his photography book “How To Disappear” (you know the book he signed for me when I met him at Rough Trade East and we talked about the 93 Feet East Radiohead gig I attended back in 2008; surely the CCCAH extended universe recalls me droning on and on about this … on or off-pod) but ended up talking a lot about Radiohead and low-key soft launching the 2025 tour news. The podcast wasn’t published until after the news dropped but still, I think it technically counts as the first public utterance confirming the tour that occurred outside the confines of Radiohead HQ: https://www.adam-buxton.co.uk/podcasts/82dyw29p3may2fa-dwb79-eycgn-fahgj-8yxba-c6hde-7lne6-5kthd-7a97e

This is Colin Greenwood talking to Brian Hiatt of Rolling Stone, also talking about his book, but then also fielding Radiohead questions in a much different manner to the Adam Buxton interview. An equally awesome interview, just a different vibe: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/colin-greenwood-interview-book-radiohead-reunion-tour-1235213867/

This is Colin Greenwood’s book, you should buy it if you like owning nice things: https://howtodisappearbook.com/

Of all the dozens and dozens of core texts, historical ephemera and other Radiohead-related media your boys have grown up poring over and studying over the years, I wanted to list one to close out these here shownotes. Because maybe someone has gone from Radiohead-ambivalent to Radiohead-curious by listening to us be nerds for an hour and a half. So this was one Christopher sent me right after the right concert. One that I must have watched twenty times about twenty years ago. Enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcfI82NQGwQ

Also linking to The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth Of All Time as I still remember Christopher buying it so we could watch it together in his house around two decades ago and I have always wanted to rewatch it so just take this as a note-to-self lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEzMFeOCnss
