"Trauma and suffering are universal, healing is optional."
Trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety...they're not talked about a lot within the four walls of church. As a result, many suffer silently wondering whether or not things will get better. Today's guest is Daytona Erkan and she's joining me to share her story.
When she was 17 and living in Germany with her family, she had heart surgery...without anesthesia. As you can imagine, what followed were months and years of healing and walking in forgiveness toward the doctors and nurses. In today's episode, we have an honest conversation around trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction, and walking through it in victory.
Not only does Daytona share her story, but she leaves you with HOPE that things will get better, and that it's okay to not be okay. Just don't unpack in the "not okay."
WARNING: Daytona shares her full story, so there is some graphic detail mentioned, as well as honest talk around what she went through in healing. Use discretion when listening.
