Cross Country is the lone fall sport to not be postponed to the spring semester in the GLVC. The conference announced their plan to proceed this fall starting on September 25th with the GLVC Triangulars (three teams). Following this competition, there will be an off week with the GLVC Divisionals on October 9th or 10th (7-team East and 8-team West). Following the Divisional is the GLVC Championships on October 24th which will be split into an "A" and "B" race based on the Divisional finishes.
Athena Lesiotis (River Forest, IL) represented the women's squad and acknowledged her gratitude about being able to compete this fall. She is the only senior on the team while Allison Chailland (Ursa, IL) is the lone freshman. Breanna Pratt (Nassau, Bahamas) is the other upperclassmen and enters her junior year.
Josiah Prenger was also featured as men's team representative on episode two. The senior talked about the team's mentality heading into a unique fall campaign and the differences in preparation that have come in 2020.
Prenger is the lone senior on the men's side, while they feature newcomers Antonio Laidler (Belle Glade, FL) and Brendon Samuda (Miramar, FL). Joel Forbes (Nassau, Bahamas), Kevin Saunders (Waldorf, MD), and Ouekie Wright (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) are the other upperclassmen on the team.
