In this episode: We discuss the very controversial topic of maintenance medications. The treatment plan otherwise known as Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a whole-patient approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. We discuss our own personal experiences with MAT medications. We discuss how if you are on these medications, NA and AA will consider you to not be sober. Donna has one opinion on this and Julianne has a very differing one.
