Kimberly was to attend her junior prom that night had it not been for a fight the days before with her boyfriend Mike Staples. Instead of attending the prom she met up with her good friend Rhonda Breton, her boyfriend Darren Joudry, and his friend Brian Enman. The boys were much older than the girls both being in their mid twenties.

After a day of hanging out, driving around and partying; Kimberly is dropped off at home around 11:30pm. Kim goes inside drops off her jacket and pocketbook and tells her older sister Karen she was going to go for a quick ride and would be right back. Karen reminds her that her parents wouldn’t be happy if she was not there when they got home.

Kimberly goes outside to the driveway where the white sports car is waiting for her and rides off into the night never to be seen again.
