Listen Later

Due to forces beyond his control, Michael's grad school timeline was postponed by an entire year. In this episode, we discuss how he used that extra time and liminal space.

Today, Michael is an international facilitator with nearly 10 years of experience. He started by leading groups at substance abuse and mental health facilities. Teaching skills such as effective communication, mindfulness, anger management, and healthy relationships.

Utilizing his psychology, improv, and design thinking background, Michael facilitates workshops and speaks to organizations on developing collaborative and productive team cultures by working with teams to develop psychological safety, navigate difficult conversations, create clarity around decision making, build trust, practice the process of innovation and so on.

He also has 15 years of improv experience, including teaching at an improv theater company in San Francisco. And he was the Community Organizer for OpenIDEO in San Diego and developed a deep understanding of the process of innovation and design thinking.

Michael currently resides in Oceanside and enjoys dancing, Brazilian jujitsu, dinner nights with good friends, and banana pancakes.
