What if certain elements of reality, say, something as simple as normal geometry, was fraught with hidden, indescribable peril? What if what we’re seeing every day is a simple shorthand, a way for us to filter the vast chaos and madness of the universe into something more palatable? And, going further, what if there are things in those rejected portions of reality, things that can sense us, and hunger for us?
