Slovak lesson
1. The Present Tense of the Verb “robiť si” (to make it for oneself)
Singular: Plural:
robím si (I make it for myself) robíme si (we make it for ourselves)
robíš si (you make it for yourself) robíte si (you make it for yourselves)
robí si (he makes it for himself, robia si (they make it for themselves)
she makes it for herself; it makes it for itself)
2. The Present Tense of the Verb “variť si” (to cook for oneself)
Singular: Plural:
varím si (I cook for myself) varíme si (we cook for ourselves)
varíš si (you cook for yourself) varíte si (you cook for yourselves)
varí si (he cooks for himself, varia si (they cook for themselves)
she cooks for herself; it cooks for itself)
3. The Present Tense of the Verb “umývať si” (to wash oneself)
Singular: Plural:
umývam si (I wash myself) umývame si (we wash ourselves)
umývaš si (you wash yourself) umývate si (you wash yourselves)
umýva si (he washes himself, umývajú si (they wash themselves)
she washes herself; it washes itself)
4. The Present Tense of the Verb “česať si” (to comb oneself)
Singular: Plural:
češem si (I comb myself) češeme si (we comb ourselves)
češeš si (you comb yourself) češete si (you comb yourselves)
češe si (he combs himself, češú si (they comb themselves)
she combs herself; it combs itself)
Sentences
1. Robíš si kávu každé ráno? (Do you make coffee for yourself every morning?)
2. Nie, nerobím si kávu každé ráno. (No, I don’t make coffee for myself every day.)
3. Niekedy si robím kávu a niekedy si robím čaj. (Sometimes I make coffee and sometimes I make tea for myself.)
4. Varíš si niekedy svoj obed? (Do you cook your lunch for yourself sometimes?)
5. Nie, obyčajne si nevarím svoj obed. (No, I usually do not cook my lunch for myself.)
