Fr. Daniel Poovannathil explains how Enoch lived faithful to the God because of Methuselah, his son, whose death would accompany with floods as was prophesied. We all have our own "Methuselah" in our life which/who make us look towards the Lord and that such instances of bad luck make us more related to the Lord. Genesis 5-10 talks about the ways which the God exalts the faithful and how such occurances of bad luck help us to live a life closer to the God.
