This week I learnt that it is okay (and probably normal) to fall out of love with your business. When you first start a project there is so much excitement and sparkle within everything you do. There is also an element of anticipation as you wonder how successful your new business or project will be.
It's new, it's fresh, of course, you're going to be hyped! Everyone always talks about these highs in entrepreneurship, but people rarely talk about the times when you lose motivation, when you doubt your business and your product, when you want to give up and wish you never entered entrepreneurship because it's bloody hard work!
You start to think if you can't believe in your business no one can. Until recently, I didn't allow myself to validate these feelings because I thought I wasn't "allowed" to feel this way because it was my business, my baby.
But I'm human and this is all part of the experience, to ride the wave of entrepreneurship and pick up everything you can learn along the way.
I hope you enjoy this ep of me unpacking what it means to fall out of love with your business and how I plan to navigate it.
