Why is it that so many female characters have their journey totally redirected at the last second to make room for a pregnancy. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's perfect, but a lot of the time it feels like a character goes through an epic quest, overcoming odds and finding their truth to end up coming to a complete stop in order to have a baby and thus, complete a character arc that never existed.
