Imagine the great lengths the apostles went to send encouragement to new converts as the gospel spread. For example, Paul wrote: "For this cause, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God" (Colossians 1:9-10). Brother Singh stresses the necessity of prayer, not just for ourselves, but for our community, our local saints, and those suffering hardship in various locales around the globe. Prayer strengthens the elect to endure the trials they must face. Prayer opens our hearts to wisdom and spiritual understanding. “Believe in the Lord your God; so shall ye be established. Believe His prophets; so shall ye prosper.” (2 Chronicles 20:20)
