In this lesson, Brother Sam (a senior elder) states that God gave us a ministry equipped to open God's word under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, put concepts together, and teach those whose minds God has illuminated to understand truth. Jesus prayed, "Sanctify them through thy truth: {Father} thy word is truth." (John 17:17) False doctrines and errant concepts cannot sanctify anyone.  

Probably no doctrine is more misunderstood than the resurrection. In a previous lesson, we looked at how the serpent deceived Eve into believing she would not die if she disobeyed God (Genesis 3:4).  That single act of rebellion germinated the false concept of the immortality of the soul. "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." (Ezekiel 18:20.)
