Elders play an essential role in Christ's church. They support God's anointed ministry by encouraging the saints and watering the messages. Watering is a term used to mean meticulous care, given the way a gardener nurtures tender plants. Saints are in various stages of maturity, yet the church provides an environment that fosters growth and development in each individual.
