Nearly 2000 years before America’s freedom was born, God was introducing another kind of freedom to the world. This freedom came in the person of Jesus Christ, and gave us liberty from sin and its eternal consequences. It is a freedom made possible because God is for us, not against us. We are free because, “…nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.” Our spiritual freedom is anchored in the everlasting, unchangeable love God has for us. That’s something to celebrate!
