Catrell was born and raised in Bradenton, FL and entered active military service in July 2001 as a Supply Management Technician. Her background includes Logistics and Airfield Management duties at locations in Louisiana, South Korea, Georgia, Nevada, and Guam. She experienced a rocky start at the beginning of her career and it was not always easy.

She started an organization called FLEX, which means “Fulfill Limitless Expectations.” She came up with this mantra because she did not always believe in herself or her abilities. This movement has spread with supporters across the globe. She is an avid believer in inspiring and pushing individuals to be their best selves. She mentored young girls under the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and believes that everyone has greatness in them as long as they believe it first.
