Award-winning storyteller Adam Linn brings his unforgettable solo show Sped Kid to the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, running August 1–25 at theSpace @ Surgeons’ Hall.

Based on Linn’s true story, Sped Kid is a raw, funny, and fiercely original coming-of-age tale about going blind — and finding power, purpose, and rhythm in the unlikeliest of places. Set in 1984 Boston, the show traces 12-year-old Adam’s journey from an all-white Catholic school to a chaotic public special ed program, where he lands on the “short bus” and discovers an unlikely tribe of breakdancers, dreamers, and rebels.

RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with Adam just after he had arrived in Edinburgh to find out more about how he got into storytelling and more about bringing his autobiographical award winning show Sped Kid to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2025.
