Meryl Sher has been involved with opera since age 13. Her voice is her gift. Despite some challlenges throughout her career, Meryl has never given up. Her motto is to "Be Unstoppable, Keep Following Your Passion and Pursuing Your Dream.
Meryl's dream is to sing at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. She also wants to keep the arts alive and thriving. Connecting these two gave her the idea of creating a fundraiser to benefit the Met. She wants to bring a famous MC, opera singers, and opera students together on one night, giving herself and others the chance to sing at the Met, and raise funds for her special place.

Dramatic Soprano, Meryl Sher, possesses a voice of wide range, versatility and dramatic intensity. Miss Sher graduated Oberlin College and received her early musical training at The Juilliard School of Music Pre-College Division where she was awarded a scholarship for her musical excellence. Prior to her passing, Miss Leonie Rysanek heard Miss Sher sing and her comment was, “My dear, you have a voice we hear seldom in a lifetime – You have the fach of Birgit Nilsson.” James McCracken, the internationally - renowned tenor heard her Santuzza and asked the director, “What are your plans for this artist? She has a major talent.”
