Let’s talk money 💸! Finances can be such a touchy topic but there’s such beauty in being open and sharing about our relationship with money (with the right people of course).
This week, we discuss this topic with Aaron, who has actually never openly discussed about how he manages money. But we’re so grateful for him opening up to us with his thoughts on finances & his mindset around money.
He’s a foodie at heart and you’ll most likely find him crawling through different fine dining restaurants across Queensland and possibly Australia. So we got him to speak to how he makes his choices when it comes to buying within your means but also being able to treat yourself.
Especially growing up in an Asian household, we were taught to be frugal, save every dollar, only spend on things that are in the sales area or discounted. Which is not a bad thing at all (because who doesn’t love a good saving?). However on the flipside, having a better relationship with money is also allowing yourself to spend on recreation moments and not feel guilty.
We do understand that sharing and talking about finances is a personal choice and everyone’s financial situation is different so there is no one size fit all cookie cutter method.
Let us know in our comments on Instagram or DM us your thoughts. Do you believe discussions about money or finances with your friends is okay?
