The biggest obstacle in the way of long term success is not the person in front of us; usually it is our own hang ups.  If we can teach our young athletes anything, it is to focus on the things we can control, and leave the rest of it to the universe.  Too many parents are wasting time teaching their kids to consider things outside of their sphere, including the performance of other kids.  Have perspective and focus on your circle.
