A month before I celebrated 1 year sober, I started to feel very strange. My emotions were all over the place, I was moody, irritable and felt confused by this. Someone told me that this was a normal feeling before a sober anniversary, especially the first one. I discuss why that is the case and how now, as I approach 9 years sober on August 20th, my feelings about that has changed and why.
