Today, more so than ever, the church needs "able" watchmen. Speaking prophetically, Jesus said of our time, "But as the days of {Noah} were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be" (Matthew 24:37). People went busily about life oblivious to the warnings of God! They "knew not until the flood came, and took them all away, so shall the coming of the Son of man be" (v.39) Christ's church is our ark, but our vessel is sinking under a flood of sin, worldliness, paganism, and false doctrine. Watchmen are called to the "sound of the trumpet," warning people of pending judgment. (Ezekiel 33:4)
