Recent lessons have focused on our commandment to "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14). Impressions from apostate religion may skew our perception of holiness. By contrast, Luke captures an accurate description of holiness that is easy to understand. Zacharias and his wife, Elisabeth, were the couple chosen by God in their old age to be the parents of John the Baptist. "And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless" (Luke 1:6).
