If we read the instruction manual for our motor vehicles, in the same manner some do our Bibles, many of us would put oil in the radiator and transmission fluid in the brake cylinder. Ignoring good instruction always results in catastrophic mistakes. And, because we do not read God's instruction manual, many of us are easily deceived and live in bondage with no hope of deliverance. Consequently, two enormous lies exist in Christianity: 1) salvation is free, and 2) the Christian life does not require suffering.
