Allen Kardec is one of the first explorers of the spirit world, investigating and writing about spiritism and spiritualism. Reviewing the movie, Ian and Martin also discuss how it handles the phenomenon but also how it reflects today's approaches to spiritual communication. The movie prompted a greater discussion of the adversities met by some of the early scientists who approached spiritualism.
