This Psalm is very calming for some people. It was an easy metaphor for King David to make considering his earlier profession of Shepherd. The interesting thing about this metaphor is that Jesus is called the Lamb of God while at the same time He is referred to as the Good Shepherd throughout the whole Bible, and WE are His sheep.
