Understanding the Bible

Is faith logical? Should I believe every verse in the Bible? How can I as a 21st century modern adult follow an ancient religion?

This episode explains why it makes sense. Starting with a basic belief in the Creator God of the Bible, this episode explains how following the Bible is actually logical. Have you ever heard the excuse that "well men wrote the Bible and they were human so they made mistakes"? or "the translators probably made mistakes"? or "I just try to follow the basic concepts in the Bible because I'm sure the words have been lost over time"?

Listen to this episode to hear the logical refutations to these statements. The Bible is truth. The Bible is inerrant; meaning that it is without error and incapable of being wrong.

Please let me know your thoughts after listening to this episode.

The final installment of the Book of Numbers read in the King James Version of the Bible. (King James Version is what I prefer due to it's verifiable accuracy based on the Dead Sea Scrolls in the original language of Koine Greek and Hebrew. That does not mean it is without translation error as I have explained on various occasions due to papal influence of the 16th century).

LOGOS, not legos! It's the Greek word for "the WORD" which is used in John 1. It is also used in Revelation and 1 John and many other places in scripture. An interesting note about this word used to describe Jesus is that we get the English word and concept of LOGIC from it.

Have you noticed a lack of logic in the world today? It might just be from a lack of Jesus in people's lives. Listen today to get a better understanding of the laws of logic and logical fallacies when it comes to truth and truth claims.

What is truth? How do we decipher truth? How can we tell the difference between truth and a lie?

This episode explores Biblically what truth is and its progression through reality to how truth can and should change your life. The Biblical model is this:

1. Honestly search for Truth

2. Acquire knowledge/facts

3. Strive to understand those facts using logic

4. Apply that understanding to make good choices in life with your knowledge of things.

5. Live your life in this way of wisdom so that you do good

6. Keep the honest search for truth, knowledge, and understanding and you will eventually reach the ultimate GOOD.

7. Know that this ultimate good is GOD.

8. Find out that Jesus Christ is that ultimate God.

9. Through faith in Christ, achieve freedom in this life and the next.

Listen today to learn a little about the true nature of TRUTH.

Listen today to hear my daughters take on Jesus feeding the 5000 and walking on water!

There are so many miracles in this story, not to mention all the people that Jesus healed that day. The miracles are probably what brought people out to listen to him to begin with. His words were so compelling that people went out of the city spontaneously and didn't even think to pack food for the day.

Jesus didn't send everyone home, instead, he had his disciples feed over 10,000 people.

List today to hear all the amazing things Jesus did that even amazed his disciples who saw miracles every day.

Elihu speaks about wisdom from God. He gets a lot of things right in his discourse to Job, but some things are wrong and we should be willing to learn from what he says.

Remember, that Job suffered the loss of his children in addition to his businesses, his house, his health, his friends, and even his wife. Don't forget the humanity of people when you give out wisdom or advice from the Bible. Elihu did.
