LOGOS, not legos! It's the Greek word for "the WORD" which is used in John 1. It is also used in Revelation and 1 John and many other places in scripture. An interesting note about this word used to describe Jesus is that we get the English word and concept of LOGIC from it.

There are so many miracles in this story, not to mention all the people that Jesus healed that day. The miracles are probably what brought people out to listen to him to begin with. His words were so compelling that people went out of the city spontaneously and didn't even think to pack food for the day.

Jesus didn't send everyone home, instead, he had his disciples feed over 10,000 people.

Elihu speaks about wisdom from God. He gets a lot of things right in his discourse to Job, but some things are wrong and we should be willing to learn from what he says.

Remember, that Job suffered the loss of his children in addition to his businesses, his house, his health, his friends, and even his wife. Don't forget the humanity of people when you give out wisdom or advice from the Bible. Elihu did.

This episode is quite the opposite of what we found in the book of Job. Job's "friends" were not faithful to God or to Job and in fact they turned against him and proved that they were not true friends in the end.

Job suffered, and his friends attacked him for it. They revealed their character by choosing to attack Job without evidence.

The Proper Christian response/take away

1. Suffering is not always the result of sin

2. Maintain your integrity before God - people will not know or speak the truth

3. Cry out to God for answers

4. Never lose faith in God

5. Wisdom, knowledge, and ultimate justice will come from God

"In all this, Job sinned not".
