Today in Season 2, Episode 2, I chat with NSW & Victorian runner, Brooke Williams. Brooke burst onto the running scene back in 2012 when she raced the U23 Zatopek 10k Championships. The following year she went onto compete in the in the World Mountain Running Championships in Poland. Following 2013, Brooke had a five year hiatus from the sport, coming back only to learn she'd been diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease at the end of 2018. Of course, she took some time off again with this diagnosis, then had a baby and ironically was informed that the condition had improved and returned to racing at the end of 2021 only to record her fastest ever 5k. So tune in, to hear Brooke's running story.
