Lloyd Alter is Design Editor of TreeHugger.com, the world’s largest website focused on sustainability and green living. He has been a contributor to contributor to the Guardian, Corporate Knights Magazine and Azure Magazine. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Architecture and a retired member of the Ontario Association of Architects. He is a Past President of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario. Lloyd teaches sustainable design at Ryerson University School of Interior Design, and won a Leadership Award from the US Green Building Council for his promotion of green, sustainable design. He is the author of "Living the 1.5 degree lifestyle" coming from New Society Publishers in fall, 2021.
