* Kipper - covering of sin through the provision of an equivalent. A Cultic/Forensic (aka Legal)/Banking metaphor. (cf sacrificial practices of Israel.)
* Padah - saving from the power of sin, darkness, oppression. A Dramatic / Victorious metaphor. (cf the Exodus from Egypt.)
* Goel - redemption out of slavery or forfeited rights through a kinship in blood and property, and the rightful avenger of death of a family member. A Familial/Brotherly/Fatherly metaphor. (cf Boaz for Ruth.)
