SURVIVING DIRTY JOHN WITH TERRA NEWELL

In this episode of 'Stop the Killing', Sarah and Katherine interview Terra Newell, a survivor of “Dirty John” Meehan. Terra recounts her experiences with her abusive stepfather John Meehan, who tried to kill her in a parking garage. Despite the traumatic experiences, Terra shares her story to inform other possible victims of similar predators. She shares insights into how John used manipulation and control to isolate her mother from their family. Terra eventually un-alived John Meehan in self-defense during his attempt on her life. The episode digs deep into the psyche of such grifters and explores how the abuse cycle can be identified and broken.
