In this episode, we continue our interview with Terra Newell, a survivor of her stepfather, John Meehan, popularly known as 'Dirty John' in podcasts and TV documentaries. Terra gives a gripping account of her harrowing survival from John's attack with a knife, revealing how she managed to defend herself and end up killing John in self-defense. She later ruminates about the aftermath, the emotional trauma and the need for counseling to process such an experience, including survivor's guilt. Terra also discusses her journey to recovery, her efforts in advocating for survivors through her podcast Survivor Squad, and her small, intimate yoga retreats, which focus on trauma healing.
