This week Angie is sick and Stevens finishes 1 Peter chapter 2. Submitting to authority is important because authority was given to governments by God. This however, is no excuse to become or remain a doormat. The point is to glorify God in everything we do. As an ambassador of Christ, we remain in His word, surrendering everything to Him, standing up for what is right and against what is wrong according to God’s standard.
