This week we are watching cows get sucked up into tornadoes while we discuss “The Rain King”! We’re talking our long-long-awaited arrival in Kansas, whether or not controlling the weather is a federal crime, how much we love the Rain King’s vibes, Mulder and Scully gazing at each other, how endearing it is that Mulder has no ability to read social cues, and how messed up it is that this episode is taking jobs away from stunt cows. We make it through half an hour of this episode without a Wizard of Oz reference and then come crashing to the ground, we enjoy some Scully Girl Talk that the message boards were all over, we discuss Kansan skin flaps that allow people to glide through tornadoes, and we bring up David Boreanaz again, because hey. It’s been a while. Also, looking at next week’s episode… We hear a big butt coming!
