This week we’re paying extra for a Screaming Demon passport photo while we discuss “Unruhe”! We’re talking Mulder and Scully’s scaffolding kink, reveal Vince Gilligan’s brand-new dumb nickname Li’l Dolla Fish, detail our hot new business model where we kidnap people to inspire them to learn a new language (invest now in Captive Conjugation LLC!), and muse on whether our show would be that different if we were lobotomized. We talk about why Scully can never go back to Minnesota or Michigan now (bad day for ‘M’ states), advocate for Mulder getting kidnapped more, and wonder why exactly Darren Criss is here committing photo crimes. Also, every time we have to say Unruhe it is really good and well-pronounced and not embarrassing at all. Sorry, the German language :( Send us an email at [email protected] or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!

This week we’re avoiding melanin-sucking albino vampires while we discuss “Teliko”! We’re talking how “Deceive, Inveigle, Obfuscate” is never going to be a thing no matter how many times Howie tries to jam it into the episode, Scully going on a hot date with a dead man, racist panflute music (like, A Lot of it), our New Favorite Guy™ whose face is carved out of stone, Mulder being a serial mono-Secret Informantist, and how disappointing it is we missed our opportunity to have Scully fireman carry Mulder. We propose a hot new sitcom with all our favorite non-important tertiary characters, struggle to remember Marita’s last name, try not to bully Howie too much, and enjoy an archetypal alleyway. Hoo boy... This week we’re celebrating wholesome American inbreeding values while we discuss “Home”! Glen Morgan and James Wong are back, and they came back with a bang, not a whimper. We’re talking the incredible amount of inappropriately-timed flirting in this delightfully nasty episode, how much we love sunny daytime horror, impatient Chekov’s booby trap, Scully’s mom vibes, and wonder how this one got past the censors. Somebody was sleeping on the job this week, and we are not complaining. We’ve got an absolutely action-packed FBI Do this week, Amanda reveals her down-homey accent she’s been prepping for a while, point out the similarities to the evil Resident Evil 8 house, and we do get down to business and discuss the thematic subtext for a while, because we love discussing themes and narratives here on Scully Nation. And we end with Chris Carter’s personalized message about “Home”: Listen, guys, this one is on Glen and James. Don’t email me about it. I had nothing to do with this. P.S. Let us know if you have any exciting/horrifying stories about watching "Home" for the first time! Send us an email at [email protected] or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!

This week we’re running away from killer bees while we discuss “Herrenvolk”! We’re talking Scooby Doo chase scenes, Scully scaring the Alien Bounty Hunter with her car horn like a skittish cat, Mulder pouring gas all over his eyeballs, Pendrell being a one-man hype band, Mulder adopting all clones, and why we hate to see Mr. X leave, but we love to see him drag himself bloody across the floor. We talk about how Jeremiah Smith ain’t shit, wonder whether this means Samantha is Canadian now, check in on Amanda’s iron-clad shapeshifting theory, and point out that Mulder really deserves to hold his secret informant in his arms and cry while they bleed out. Now that the show is airing on Sundays, there’s no more Friday Night Weirdos, but we’ll leave the light on for you. PS. This is the cat vine we were talking about. This week we are raising the dead with our alien hands while we discuss “Talitha Cumi”! We’re talking the #ScubaBillTruth, the Cigarette Smoking Man-Bill Mulder-Deep Throat water-skiing team we never knew we needed, how much Teena Mulder hates remembering things, and settle in for some MONOLOGUES. We retch for a while over plot revelations about a certain smoky guy and a certain spooky agent’s mom, cheer on a Father’s Day fight, get really mad that Scully didn’t even hug Mulder when he was in emotional distress, and Amanda reveals her definitely-real conspiracy theory of shapeshifting aliens. The truth is out there, about aliens but also that CSM’s real name is… Palm. Huh. Kind of a let-down, actually. Send us an email at [email protected] or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
