Italian salad dressing
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
3/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
Mix well. Store at room temperature. It may take up to 24 hours for the full flavor to come out, so if using on the same day, add salt and pepper to the salad.
* also works well as a marinade for chicken, especially chicken kebabs.
