We love SaaS! But some SaaS companies seriously SUCK. Strategies surrounding inane practices and crazy acquisition sprees turn some of our favorite tools into zombie shells of their former selves in the name of consolidation. Others have UI flaws that seem to be a feature instead of a bug but drive everyone crazy. In this episode, we are not pulling our punches, and this is by no means a complete list, there are many more offenders out there that we will have to cover in a future episode. Enjoy!

The term single pane of glass has been around for a long time, its origins are rooted in security to be able to monitor systems all in one place.

As systems have evolved we now have many applications that are striving to be the one application to rule them all, from Google Workspace, to Slack, to Teams, Zoom, and beyond the collaboration space as well. Now that you are comfortable with your SaaS setup, it’s time to take it up a notch. One of the biggest problems to watch out with SaaS is having multiple SaaS Apps overlapping and recording duplicates of some data, and not recording other data. What we mean by this is you need to have a single source of truth, one platform that rules them all to make sure that when that app says this person was terminated, they were actually terminated. There are many great ways to set this up, and when you get really good, you can even begin automating tasks based on employee status in your source of truth.
