The coronavirus has dashed Xolisani “Nomeva” Ndongeni’s dream of fighting in the United States of America for the second successive year. Ndongeni was supposed to face unbeaten Arnold Barboza Junior of America, on the undercard of the unification bout between current WBA Super and IBF bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue and WBO bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero. The fight was scheduled to take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on 25 April.

Swimming South Africa (SSA) President Allan Fritz believes that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics might be postponed until the end of the year. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is considering a postponement of Tokyo 2020, and has given itself a deadline of four weeks to make a decision.
