Black Leopards suffered a 1- 0 defeat in the Absa Premiership clash against Bidvest Wits at Bidvest stadium on Tuesday night. The game started off lively as the hosts almost break the deadlock in 11th minute after Terrence Dzvukamanja’s header sailed wide of the mark, while Brandon Petersen kept out Thabo Matlaba's strike at the other end. Eventually Dzvukamanja reached the back of the net in 31st minute piling more misery on relegation-threatened Leopards. Wits coach Gavin Hunt says he is happy with the victory, but believes they could have done better.

Mamelodi Sundowns Coach Pitso Mosimane says they will not take Stellenbosch for granted, when they clash in a league match at Athlone stadium in Cape Town on Wednesday night (kick-off 7:30pm). Sundowns will be looking to close the gap on log leaders Kaizer Chiefs to just four points with a victory. The Brazilians beat Stellenbosch 3-1 in a first round clash in Pretoria late last year.

Limpopo GladAfrika side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) say it is early to press panic buttons regarding the disappearance of midfielder Masibusane Zongo. The club released a statement on Tuesday on their official Twitter page @TTM_Original that the player has not reported for work after their match with Cape Umoya on Friday, 28 February. TTM communications manager Tshidino Ndou says if the player does not turn up soon they will have to open a missing person’s report with the police.

Swimming South Africa President Allan Fitz will contest for the SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee) Presidency at the end of the month. Swimming SA has been one of the best performing codes in the previous Olympics. The code earned team SA three silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil. They also contributed two gold medals and silver at the 2012 London Olympics. Fritz says his federation is well run.

Swimming South Africa President Allan Fitz will contest for the SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee) Presidency at the end of the month. There are some High Perfomance Athletes who are part of the OPEX (Operation Excellence Programme). The programme was started by SASCOC to assist top performing athletes with funding to prepare for major sporting events. Fritz says athletes have not been receiving funding because of squabbles at SASCOC.
