Dissability condition has lately grown to be accepted as just one of those ordinary conditions, people with disabilities are no longer excluded that much from any other activities within the society, including economic activities as well. The massive dissability inclusion campaigns that the organized groups have been embarking in have paid greatly.
Though the disabled people might now be enjoying life like any other citizen of the country or member of society in the world, there are those that are still facing stumbling blocks to get on with life.
34 years old Mr. Letlhogonolo Ngakantsi was born with Cerebral Palsy and has been living with it ever since. The condition came as a result of being born much earlier than expected. Due to lack of resources for the disabled people, Letlhogonolo had to move from his home town of Mafikeng Soweto, just outside Johannesburg in order to access educational facilities suited for the disabled.

Life can be all good and glamour when one has all the freedom they need to move around whenever they want to and do the things they want to freely so.
But then things can take a bit of a sour turn when all of a sudden your life changes all together.
One of those major changes can be brought by a dissability condition, one that you were not born with but came across and must adapt to whilst still growing up. Having partially lost the freedom of movement, and the ability to do as you please can be quite saddening and a bit tough to accept and adapt to.

The better parts of the world have up to thus far improved immensely with how they view and perceive disability. Major projects of disability inclusion have seen greater success all thanks to people embracing disabled people and having positive expectations from the disabled community.
The very same has slowly but surely happened with Albinism. The barbaric acts of butchering people with albinism with an insipid believe that their body parts brings good fortunes has slowly faded due to major awareness’s that were conducted through all mediums available. But then again having to grow up with albinism can be a challenge to a child surrounded by an uninformed or rather illiterate community that cannot see further than what's in front of them at the time.

The month of April is not only freedom month, but it is also a month of Autism Awareness Disorder, a generic term that describes a range of issues relating to brain development. Autism can b defined as or simply means there will be impacts on how a child with this disorder will learn and develop.
Autism impacts children and adults in many ways but, many of the issues can be overcome or with small changes to how things are done, children and adults can access learning.
There is no known single cause for autism spectrum disorder, but it is generally accepted that it is caused by abnormalities in brain structure or function. Brain scans show differences in the shape and structure of the brain in children with autism compared to in neurotypical children.

Life has its fair share of ups and downs. One cannot be happy at all times, every day of their lives till eternity. At some point in life we all do come across certain challenges that do emerge as a serious mountain hill to climb, that does at other times lead to people giving up in life, attracting depression that eventually drives one to suicide.
A disability condition can lead to unending pressure if one wakes up one day to find themselves disabled and has a hard time accepting their new condition. More especially if one is not emotionally stable or mature enough to handle whatever life throws at them.
Today we learn from a disabled woman (amputee) how disability has affected her emotionally, psychologically and her life as a whole. How exactly has she managed to get her life together and not give in to life or societal pressure.

Many, especially those who were born fully abled and able to manoeuvre and do anything for themselves anywhere anytime, might be feeling like somehow their rights might have been violated or abused by getting involved in accidents that led them to permanent dissability conditions. But still nonetheless they still continue to live their lives to the fullest and do the best they can under their circumstances.
Today we are chatting with Ntombizodwa Thabethe, a 24 years old paraplegic who works as an Admin Officer for a major manufacturing company in Pretoria. Ntombi came grips with her current reality 9 years ago when she was waiting to cross the road, a truck approaching lost control and, veered off the road and ran her over.

Parenting can be a tedious task, more especially for a new parent. Hence in many African cultures/practices a new parent will have an elderly taking good care of her and the new baby, guiding the parent on how to take good care of the child and performing certain tasks like noticing when something is wrong with the child.
Now for a disabled woman to be a new parent can be extra tedious, more especially if the disability condition slows mobility as well.
29 years old Olebogeng Maphalela became a parent when she was just 28, after 10 years of being on a wheel chair. As with any other cases, thorough support from close by people can really help a lot, eases off many burdens.

: Dissability is something that no one applies to have, or hopes to have. It is something that emerges or comes as a result of an accident or maybe illness as well. The important thing is learning to accept and live with your disability condition and making the most out of your life regardless of the disability condition.
Having to come to terms with your newly fond or come across dissability condition can be a bit strenuous and challenging. More especially if the dissability condition emerges when one is much older. Learning to live with the condition can be a mammoth task that needs support.
Percy Pheko, born in Krugersdorp was a young energetic boy full of life whilst growing up, until he lost his sight. Having to learn how to live without his eyes was a bit challenging, but accepting and making peace with it made it all much easier for him, he eventually made it to his dreams regardless of having lost an eye-sight whilst still younger.

In today’s life and world at large inclusion of dissability has been a journey greatly conquered by all citizens who participated whole-heartedly in. almost every in and around the world great measures have been put into place to ensure disabled people are included anywhere in anything and able to utilize accordingly all resources at their disposal.
In this month of March, commonly known as the month of commemorating and celebrating human rights, it is important to look into dissability and whether if in any form it does affect or hinders with exercising of human rights.
Today we talk with Mr Selaelo Makgato, director of special programs in the office in the premier in Limpopo province. Mr Makgato is blind. Having to grow up in rural villages of Limpopo with sight problems must have been challenging for him as the popular boys chores of heading livestock and others might have been a struggle to do.

Life is full of its fair share of challenges. Time and again now and then we get faced with endless obstacles to where we want to go to, what we want to do or who we want to be. But then these obstacles or challenges they do nothing but just merely shape us up to be better people than we would have been without them challenges.
Disability can also emerge as a challenge in one’s life, depending on the type of disability one is faced with. Nevertheless the type/kind of disability one faces, life does allow one to be who they want to be regardless of the disability condition. The same has applied with Mr. Thulani Thembela, a blind man currently located at Kagiso location in Krugersdorp, originally hailing from Mount frere in the Eastern Cape.
Mr. Thembela had a dream of preaching the word of God through inspirational/gospel music from his early ages of life, he never let his blindness get in the way of living his dream. Just like any other person, adding on with the disability condition, he has had his fair share of life troubles that he went through.
